On 3rd September 2022, Sonamthang Central School Scouts have organized a cleaning campaign from Thinleygang to Tungkudempa BoD. The program was grace by Vince Principal, Mr. Jigme Sherab (Malaria focal person, Panbang BHU) scout leaders, and scouts. The cleaning campaign has begun around 9 am with the slogan “Let’s keep our surroundings clean to prevent malaria and dengue.” The scouts have filled up the murky ponds that have the potential to breed mosquitoes and collected the wastes on the way.
The teams were indebted to those shopkeeper owners of Panbang town for providing refreshments. We hope with our minimal effort in creating awareness could help our community to prevent themselves from malaria and dengue.
